1. Tiombe Lockhart, "O'Bloody Day, O'Starry Night on the Bowery" (CD-R) -- The title alone makes this one of the best songs of tha year. But how out of his mind is WAAJEED right now? Between her songwriting and his sci-fly beats her album may just change tha game. For a few months, at least...

2. Bugz in the Attic, "Back to the Doghouse" LP (V2) -- Dudes switched up they sh*t yet again, proving they got many styyyyyles, many styyyyyyles.

3. Slum Village feat. Dwele, "Call Me" (Barak) -- This combo never gets old.

4. Simbad, "Soul Fever" (Raw Fusion) -- Good to finally have this on wax (so i can turn it into an MP3 hahahah). Dance cut of the year, so far...

5. Busy Signal, "Think Dem Bad" (John John) -- Nookie riddim is killin sh*t right now and Busy Signal is that dude. Lyrics to go...

6. Great Weekend, "Superstar" (ABB Soul) -- A strong vocal performance and great production signals the next best hope for urban soul. Along with the Darien Brockington project, ABB Soul has some heat for 06 . . .

7. Q-Tip feat. D'Angelo, "I Believe" (CD-R) -- This project is bound to be a letdown, but hearing D'Angelo get down with Tip is a trip back to '96 when Dilla was still around and the possibilities were limitless...

8. Messy Marv feat. E-40, "It's Good" (Scalene) -- Guess what? We ride to mobb music out here in tha Yay, not hyphy music (thats for tha clubs). Please get it un-twisted.

9. Ben Westbeach, "So Good Today" (Yoruba Suite) (Brownswood) -- Killin sh*t everywhere right now. Set NYC and Los Angeles on fire in a 48-hour time span.

10. Donnie, "Twist This" (Karizma Dub) (CD-R) -- Good to hear Donnie's voice again, as he is definitely needed!!!
