¡BOGOTA!
Sorry this is a bit tard-y. Rocked in Bogota, Colombia this past weekend and wanted to share some pics and some audio. Peep tha pics with some comments, and a download of a 20 or so minute section of my mix at Club Invitro in Bogota.
Thanks to Brujo, Felipe, Eddie, Juli, and everyone who brought me down and made my stay there so damn fun! I had a great time!!!!

Bogota is a huge city (10 million people) tucked inside the northern tip of tha South American Andes mountains. For this reason, tha weather is temperate (around 60 degrees while I was there -- although it's winter in tha southern hemisphere, so it gets warmer in tha summer) due to tha elevation; and there are incredible views both from tha mountains beside tha city as well as from tha city looking UP AT tha mountains. A famous church called Monserrate sits atop a main peak overlooking Bogota -- apparently some devotees climb up tha mountainside to this church on THEIR KNEES to worship. Now thats gangsta!

Yadadadamtalkinbout??

You feel like a baller if you go to Bogota from tha US cuz every $1 USD is equivalent to a little under $2000 Colombian Pesos...so its nothing to spend like 100,000 Pesos on dinner. BALLLLLINNNNNN!!!

"...where tha sky stays tha color of grey like heroin."

You know how annoying it is in tha US when dancers start showing off in a circle when most of tha party is just couples dancing/vibing and everyone just sorta stops to watch even if they don't want to, but they sorta feel like they have to, and if your DJing you just kinda wanna play a Yanni song just to make 'em stop dancing and put their f***ing shirts back on so everyone can be normal again? Well, its hella NOT annoying when two super dope salser@s start getting down to salsa in Bogota, and it inspires everyone else to dance more, and dance better! See? Tha USA sucks!

This is me with Brujo who was tha promoter who brought me down (thanks!) along with Brujo's wife and my friend Juliana.

(Obligatory "people dancing" pic)

My friends Felipe y Juliana handling tha obligatory "party like un rock star" steez

A street in the Candelaria neighborhood, which is home to numerous museums, government offices, and cultural institutions. REALLY beautiful, and we peeped a whole museum of Botero paintings (he's one of my favorites).

This is tha National Museum which is in Chapinero neighborhood, which is where my hotel and tha nightclub were. YES, i went inside tha museums i just don't like taking pictures of historical artifacts!!! I didn't just take pics of them from tha outside LOL....

Me and Felipe chillin' in Candelaria. Felipe is SUPER cool and i wouldn't be surprised if he's president of Colombia some day. He and his girlfriend Juliana REALLY looked after me in Bogota -- thanks guys!

Window in Candelaria where tha father of South American independence, Simon Bolivar, jumped out to escape a police assassination attempt.

This was tha best sh*t EVER. Man i swear, anywhere you go in tha world, tha best food is on tha street!!

Obligatory Old Ass Church pic

Good news: Starbucks hasn't raped Colombia yet! Bad news: tha major coffee chain there is called Juan Valdez!!! More good news: they serve coffee with alcohol in it; this cappucino rite here looks normal but its a "Wicao" cappucino which means it has whiskey and liquor de cacao in it! Owwwwwwwww...

Arepas, which is a common Colombian dish. I ate these things like there's no tomorrow. They're especially good when your dronk, which I was regularly cuz beer there is like 75 cent. They make arepas with corn, or plantain or flour and they put all kinds of yummy stuff inside em.

Obligatory "we are all the same despite our cultural differences, so let's all smoke weed, listen to Bob Marley and be friends with each other" peace sign pic.

Hey like i said, beer is like 75 cent down there. And a mojito (made with Havana Club! Owwww) aint too much more. Roger is on tha left, he owns a REALLY good sushi restaurant and i am pretty sure we were all either dronk or tired in this here pic. Shout out to Roger, Felipe and Juli!!!

Bogota at night. REALLY amazing, and thanks to Felipe for taking this pic cuz i was too retarded to figure out how to turn tha flash off on my camera. Big up Bogota!! Big up Colombia!!!!!!!!!!!
