A GREAT DAY TO BE ALIVE
Barack Obama's unprecedented victory in tha US presidential election on Tuesday, November 4 2008 unleashed a tsunami of positive energy, hopefulness, and joy that many of us in tha 20/30-something age range have never seen.
Whatever your opinions on Obama, this particular race, or tha US political process in general (please beleive we got PLENTY of opinions), to see a man of African descent elected to tha highest political office in a country FOUNDED in tha ideology of white supremacy and tha practice of chattel slavery of African people, was some BIG ASS SHIT.
One of tha better photographers out there today, Robyn Twomey set up shop @ PST on Tuesday night to capture tha moment -- a pretty difficult task, even more so in tha midst of a buckwild nightclub. But she KILLED it. These are some of her pics from that night, as well as a few others from tha week that was....enjoy!
